READ has just wrapped up a successful two days at DEVEX 2018 which took place 8-9 May at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Now in its 15th year, DEVEX is a technical conference focusing on reservoir discovery, evaluation, development and recovery in the UK. This year’s event brought some 300 delegates together from operators, service companies and academia and provided the perfect setting for knowledge sharing and networking.
READ’s senior analyst, Nicolas Kotlar was among those presenting in the technical programme. He shared insights into Optimising production logging tool selection for water shut-off in highly deviated and horizontal wells. Nicolas is part of READ’s in-house ANSA team of qualified analysts, delivering independent, timely and accurate data interpretation for well integrity, production logging and reservoir evaluation.
In addition to the technical conference, READ was also among the companies exhibiting at DEVEX. Andrew Garioch, North Sea business development manager commented, “This was a really productive event for us. We had fascinating discussions with attendees who visited the booth, particularly around our Reservoir Analysis System and Production Optimisation logging services that help identify and unlock additional production and reserves.”
The Reservoir Analysis System (RAS) is a multi-detector tool that uses cutting-edge pulsed neutron technology to identify and exploit bypassed reserves, and helps operators maximise hydrocarbon recovery.
